NMSU has many state-of-the-art computer labs located around campus. These services are brought to students by ICT Student Technology and Planning.

ICT Student Technology and Planning has one primary goal of bringing students from different colleges together to address university and state-wide technology issues. ICT help students have a successful and stress free semester by offering students with a variety of technological resources.

“We offer the rental program, we have the help desk and labs that students can use,” said Communication Specialist, Annette Candelaria.

There are five lab locations that are available for students to use throughout the campus: Computer Center Hallway, Pete’s Place, Knox Hall, Hardman & Jacobs Undergraduate Learning Center and Vista Del Monte. All computer labs are open to students to use seven days a week during the semester.

“Its neat because they have reasonable prices”, Communications Disorders major, Sarah Wather, said, “Its convenient because they have computer labs all over campus for students to use.”

Apart from giving students access to computers they also provide students with Aggie Print. All Students receive a printing quota each semester. Full-time students receive $20 and part-time students receive $10. Students can also add funds to their print account at the card charge machine in the Pete’s Place Lab or at the I.D Card Services.

Technology is essential in college and ICT Student Technology and Planning want to make sure that students have the right resources to succeed on and off campus.

The ICT Help Desk located inside Room 105, provides walk-in support for many common issues like, password login issues, computer issues and device issues.

“If students have their own laptop they can get Office 365 and anti-virus installed for free and they can actually install them in five different devices,” said lead student associate, Angelica Holguin.

If students don’t have a laptop ICT Student Technology and Planning provides students and faculty/staff with technology rentals and checkouts as part of the Equipment Rental Program. The Equipment Rental Program allows students to rent laptops, projectors, digital cameras and iPads. Rental periods range from daily to semester use. Equipment may be checked out with a valid driver’s license and student I.D in room 103 of Hardman & Jacobs Undergraduate Learning Center.

ICT Student Technology and Planning also offers digital signage that is available for student organizations to promote themselves and post electronic flyers on the screens around campus.

Technological resources can be found throughout campus to help students and make their experience at NMSU anything but chaotic. ICT Student Technology and Planning strives to ensure that students voices are heard and represented on all issues related to technology.
