Luis Finston
Luis “Luigi” Finston is a Senior majoring in Journalism with an emphasis in PR. He is an NMSU Presidential Ambassador, an active brother of Kappa Sigma Fraternity, a member of the Knights of Columbus, a Radio Host & DJ for KRUX 91.5 FM, and has been a Student Campus Minister for St. Albert the Great Newman Center / NMSU Catholic. He has also done work with AdFed and News22. Luigi is a professional DJ and owns his own DJ and Producing business. He has done performances in Las Cruces, El Paso, Albuquerque, and at NMSU. His clients have included PartyTenders Inc., Dublin’s Street Pub, and Graham Central Station. Luigi has been with the RoundUp for a year and Student Media for two years. This is his second year as a Staff Writer. He has written blogs for Wordpress.com and has been a Communications, Media Relations, and Public Affairs intern for the Hyundai Sun Bowl Association in El Paso, TX and the National Park Service in Washington D.C. He completed his Sophomore year of College at Brooklyn College (CUNY), and played Soccer in New York City. He is a 2012 graduate of Las Cruces High School and was a member of the Men’s Soccer, Swimming, and Track and Field teams. In his free time, he loves to compose music, play FIFA, sleep, or eat Pizza Rolls. He is a part-time sports announcer and MC for the Las Cruces Kings Football Team. Originally from Panama City, Panama, he was adopted at the age of 2 and has called Las Cruces, New Mexico his home for the last 19 years. He is looking forward to another splendid year at the RoundUp!
