NMSU Round Up

Luis Rios
Luis Rios is a sophomore at New Mexico State University and a first year at The Round Up. Currently enrolled in the College of Journalism, he is also pursuing an Associate’s in Criminal Justice. Born in Las Cruces, New Mexico but raised in El Paso, Texas, Luis always wanted to seek a career to match his passion for writing. Having graduated from Franklin High School, he was introduced to journalism and became a reporter for the Franklin Chronicle, the official newspaper for the campus. He grew to be interested in journalism and now plans to have a career as an investigative journalist.

In his free time, Luis likes to draw, read, play video games, listen to music (a lot of music) and write fiction. For him, being given the opportunity to work with The Round Up seems like a step in the right direction. He is excited to advance his skills in news writing and gain experience in working and interacting with new people.
