Adrian Villegas is in his first year at NMSU and has just started as a photojournalism intern with The Round Up. He’s studying both Journalism and Media Studies and Kinesiology Exercise Science, Two areas he’s passionate about. Back in high school at Centennial, Adrian was part of the media team and had the opportunity to be involved in a few state championship wins. This experience solidified his love for being behind the camera and telling stories. Since childhood, Adrian has pictured himself working as a reporter in New York City, and he sees this internship as the first step toward that dream.
Outside of school and journalism, Adrian used to cheer with the NMSU Large Coed team, and he still enjoys tumbling whenever he gets the chance. Ultimately, Adrian loves creating and sharing stories that connect with people, and he’s excited to continue growing in his field while at NMSU.
