Heba Hamedi is a junior at New Mexico State University, where she is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies with a broadcast emphasis and a minor in Political Science and Linguistics.

She was born in Lexington, Kentucky, but has spent most of her time in New Mexico. Currently, Heba volunteers with the News22 program as an anchor and writer.

After graduation, Heba hopes to become a reporter or foreign correspondent and work abroad. She hopes to shed light on hidden international issues, and tell stories of humanity's resilience regardless of conflicts and hardships. In her free time, you can catch her skating the NMSU campus.
