Heba Hamedi is a junior at New Mexico State University, where she is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies with an emphasis in broadcast and a minor in film. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky, but has spent most of her time in New Mexico. Currently, Heba volunteers with the News22 program as an anchor and writer.
After graduation, Heba hopes to enter the media industry, whether as a reporter, a foreign correspondent, or in broadcast production. She hopes to inspire change through her work and tell stories of humanity’s resilience despite conflicts and hardships. You can catch her skating on the NMSU campus in her free time.
