Noah Apodaca, News Editor
Noah Apodaca is a senior at New Mexico State University, where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies with an emphasis in broadcast, as well as a minor in Government. This is Noah’s second semester with The Round Up.
Born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Noah got his start in the media industry in 2022, when he joined KRWG-TV’s News22 program as a writer, reporter and anchor. With News22, he has covered a wide range of topics, including the 2023 Conference USA Championship football game in Lynchburg, Virginia, as well as the Trump campaign when the former president visited New Mexico in 2024.
Additionally, Noah has won awards from the New Mexico Broadcasters Association as well as the Society of Professional Journalists for his news and weather reporting. In addition to News22, Noah has worked with NMSU Kokopelli, KFOX14 in El Paso, Texas, and alongside U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich in 2022.
In the summer of 2024, Noah had the opportunity to intern with NBC Sports for coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympic games at the division’s headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. While with NBC Sports, Noah assisted the Digital Commercial Operations team coordinate commercial breaks for NBC network content including Peacock, E!, CNBC, USA, etc.
In his spare time, you can catch Noah at the gym, at the airport fulfilling his love of travel, or at home streaming some Disney+ alongside his five dogs. He is ecstatic to work with The Round Up team once again!
