COVID-19 Updates: March 25, 2020
Here’s what you need to know today according to the New Mexico Department of Health, the Office of Michelle Lujan Grisham and NMSU officials.
Around the State
- The first death related to COVID-19 was announced by NM DOH Wednesday. A male from Eddy County in his late 70s died Sunday.
- Cases have risen to 100 according to today’s report. Total tests administered are at 6,842. The cases are located in Bernalillo County (43), Dona Ana County (13), Cibola County (1), Curry County (1), Lea County (1), McKinley County (3) Sandoval County (7), San Juan County (7), San Miguel County (1), Santa Fe County (14), Socorro County (2), Taos County (3), Chaves County (4).
Around NMSU
- An NMSU emergency notification was released Wednesday by NMSU.
- “A global pandemic is taking place, and NMSU wants you to be safe,” The notification reads. “Stay home whenever possible, and follow state and federal guidelines. Do not travel out of state, and limit any in-state travel to only what is essential. If sick, contact your healthcare provider for guidance.”
