Here are the most important things you need to know today according to the Office of Michelle Lujan Grisham, the New Mexico Department of Health and New Mexico State University officials. 

Around the State

  • The NM DOH confirmed an additional death Tuesday bringing the total deaths in the state to six. The most recent report was a female in her 90s who was hospitalized and had underlying health conditions. 
  • The total cases in NM have risen to 363 with the total number of tests at 14,011. There are 31 hospitalizations, 26 designated recoveries according to the NM DOH.
  • The cases are located in Bernalillo County: 148, Catron County: 1, Chaves County: 10, Cibola County: 4, Curry County: 5, Doña Ana County: 21, Eddy County: 4, Grant County: 1, Lea County: 2, McKinley County: 20, Otero County: 1, Rio Arriba County: 4, Roosevelt County: 1, Sandoval County: 32, San Juan County: 37, San Miguel County: 1, Santa Fe County: 48, Socorro County: 3, Taos County: 12, Torrance County: 3, Valencia County: 5
  • NM DOH reports that due to increased statewide testing abilities, those asymptomatic patients who have: had exposure to someone with COVID-19, residents of nursing homes, those involved with congregate housing or community shelters or detention centers may now receive testing.

  • NMSU officials warn students about phishing emails posing as Zoom conferences. 
  • The Telehealth hotline for the NMSU Aggie Health and Wellness center is 575-646-1512. The Health center will be closed today from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. for training. 
  • NMSU will be hosting a virtual town hall today at 3 p.m. to provide updates to the NMSU community. The link to participate is here
