Daniel Villarreal, Photojournalism Intern
Daniel Villarreal is in his second year at NMSU, majoring in Studio Arts. Born and raised in Juarez, Mexico. This is his first year as part of The Round Up as a photojournalism intern. Daniel aims to capture moments around NMSU and its events. Daniel aims to gain experience and improve his photography. He is passionate about photography as a storytelling tool, capturing detail, and supporting narratives.
Outside NMSU, Daniel likes to collect physical media, which includes vinyl records, CDs, books, etc. During his final year, he is eager to grow as a photographer and contribute photography that strengthens the connection between The Round Up and its readers.
