Dayana Villanueva, Staff Writer
Dayana Villanueva is a senior at New Mexico State University and entering The Round Up as staff writer and multimedia specialist. With a background as a reporter and anchor for Spanish student-run newscasts at NMSU. Dayana is currently pursuing a major in Economics, back in December, completed a major in Multimedia Journalism. She was born in the borderland city of El Paso, Texas, and raised in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
Running, hiking, and watch interviews are among her hobbies. Co-hosting a podcast interviewing Latinx startups and venture capital makes her proud of her culture and diversity. She is always curious and learning from everyone. Dayana loves being out of his comfort zone, meeting people, and hearing their stories.
She hopes to become an investigative reporter at a newsroom to inform the people and improve policies, because Dayana thinks the multicultural perspective of journalists is necessary to report not only in unbiased ways but also in a humanistic way.
