Leighanne Muñoz is going into her third year with The Round Up. She is now a senior and is a journalism major with a minor in digital film. Leighanne is from Las Cruces, NM and plans to either become a screen writer or a freelance journalist after she graduates.
Writing became a huge part of her life in elementary school and has grown since then, from telling little stories to now using it as a platform to tell others’ stories. Allowing people’s voices to be heard through her writing is her biggest goal, whether that’s through a script as a retelling of one’s story or through journalism. Everyone’s voices deserve to be heard.
She enjoys reading, writing, going to festivals/concerts, and collecting vinyls and Funko Pops.
