Alanna Herrera, Editor in Chief
Alanna Herrera is entering her fourth year at The Round Up, taking on her second year as Editor-in-Chief. She is a senior with a passion for storytelling and is wrapping up a double major in Journalism and Marketing at New Mexico State University.
Herrera considers her biggest journalistic accomplishments to be reporting on President Donald Trump’s visit to El Paso, uncovering a fraternity hazing (that went on to be a national story) and a feature on Striking the Wonder Dog. She has had articles published in the Las Cruces Bulletin, Rio Rancho Observer and the Albuquerque Journal’s Cowboy Country special section.
Herrera loves traveling, is a sucker for good puns and spends her spare time hiking, volunteering and binge-watching the trifecta of television shows (New Girl, The Office and Friends). Herrera is excited to continue a culture of excellence, make her mark and represent the voice of NMSU for the 113th year at The Round Up. You can follow all her quirks on twitter @alannaherrera_
