Ernesto Cisneros, Managing Editor
Ernesto Cisneros is a senior here at NMSU studying Journalism & Media Studies along with Government (Political Science). He also has two minors in Social Media Management and Strategic Communications.
Ernesto is in his second year at The Round Up and his first year as Managing Editor. Previously, he was a staff writer and the political writer. Outside of The Round Up, he was privileged to intern for both of his local newspapers, the Questa Del Rio News and the Taos News, a sister publication of the Santa Fe New Mexican.
A true newsie and creative junkie, Ernesto is excited to help lead the next generation of writers and hopes to grow The Round Up’s legacy.
Cisneros is a fourth-year Crimson Scholar, was a finalist in the Mark of Excellence Region 9 awards for breaking news reporting from Society of Professional Journalists, and two-time Best of SNO winner for two of his articles.
In his free time, he enjoys writing, photography, graphic design, music, and binging Netflix, especially his favorites like Stranger Things.
