NMSU Round Up

Lauren Roman
Lauren Roman is a senior majoring in Animation/Visual Effects and minoring in Early Childhood Education. She has worked for the Round Up for three years and has enjoyed growing as a reporter and as a journalist. Though she never acquired a journalism degree, she has loved the opportunity to learn on the job and alongside her co-workers.

While growing as a writer, Lauren has also been asked to use her illustration skills to create graphics for the Round Up team and had been asked to create a Christmas comic that was printed last December. Now, she treasures stepping into her role as news editor and enjoys working alongside her fellow editors to create the best publication possible.

During her spare time, she loves to write novels and poems. Because of her love of nature, her favorite Las Cruces venture is the A-mountain hike. Her favorite season is fall time and she enjoys cradling next to a book amidst autumn leaves, with a simmering cup of tea (who doesn’t?). She also enjoys creating artwork, both digital and traditional, and spending time with friends and family!
